MOON Nurseries produces over 40,000 trees and 350,000 container plants a year from our 800 acre Maryland nurseries and 120 acre Pennsylvania nursery. Founded in 1767, MOON Nurseries is one of the most esteemed nurseries in the country. Located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, MOON combines over two centuries of experience with state-of-the-art cultural practices to produce the finest quality plant material available on the East Coast.
Located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, MOON Wholesale supplies landscape contractors throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New York. With over 5,000 B&B trees and shrubs maintained above ground on our 20 acre wholesale yard, MOON Wholesale is also able to ship to customers along the East Coast and Midwest from early spring through late fall.

Our landscape companies manage a wide range of design/build projects and landscape maintenance contracts for both residential and commercial customers. MOON’s extensive staff of experienced designers and horticulturists take great pride in delivering only the best quality workmanship on the drawing board and in the field. College graduates today are entering the green industry at a time of unparalleled opportunity for growth and success. Due to the continuous surge in housing starts and commercial development and a rising affinity for gardening (America’s number one pastime), landscaping and nursery management fields continue to provide promising career paths. Graduates expecting top placements need to offer potential employers a progressive set of skills and experience in addition to their education.
MOON’s full-time internship program combines a student’s current coursework with hands-on learning to help transition students from the classroom to the workplace. Placements are highly competitive and include a weekly stipend of $400/week for undergraduate students and $500/week for graduate students. (Housing may be provided for students living outside of a 50 miles radius of placement location.)
Preferred candidates have exceptional leadership and communication skills and have completed the sophomore year of an undergraduate program or the first year of a graduate program. Most opportunities are for students in horticulture and design fields, but students in other disciplines are sometimes considered.

MOON rewards your dedication to completing your degree by offering college graduates full-time salaried positions with the same benefits provided to our more senior employees. You’ll work in an environment of seasoned professionals who can help guide you through your first years of employment.
